For the pasty 48 hours I’ve been dealing with a computer that kept spitting out BSOD warnings every time I started it up. Finally, last night I got new box and got all my software installed and could finally get started on what really matters – preparing for the EPL tie between Arsenal and Rugby FC, aka Stoke City.

The cool thing about this match up, I didn’t have to wonder what I was going to write. It actually had all been written back in December when this match was originally scheduled. This meeting is our makeup match with Stoke and puts back in the plus column on games versus United. But enough about that let’s talk about today’s tie shall we.

Two years ago this week in a match against Birmingham City, Arsenal foward Eduardo Da Silva was violently tackled on the pitch and suffered an injury that at the time looked career ending. It was a watershed mark for the lub who at the time were leading the league and looked well on the way to winning the title. But they didn’t. The emotional toll associated with the injury wracked the young Arsenal side and they weren’t able to recover and wound up losing their hold on the league and eventually watched United claim their second title in a row.

This Saturday Arsene Wenger and Arsenal look to set the ship aright when Stoke City roll into the Emirates.
