Arsenal deliever team news prior to Newcastle United match

With the match against Newcastle United fast approaching, Arsenal have provided fans with some rather encouraging injury news ahead of the encounter that could be taken positively.
Kieran Tierney and Gabriel Martinelli had both been considered doubts ahead of the game with The Magpies, with the Scotland international sustaining a muscle injury in training prior to the Gunners’ poor 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace last week – bettors keeping a tab on livescore 24 hours a day will have been disappointed with what they witnessed in that game.
Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta had confirmed that he had picked a knock prior to the game but mentioned he thought it could be a lot longer than it appears it could be.
“He had a calf injury in training. I think he will miss a few matches. He’s another one that we will lose.”
Martinelli – who is another player that the Emirates Stadium faithful are excited about – had a fresh setback from his recent knee injury that required surgery in December. The young Brazilian turned his ankle in the last meeting between these two sides in the FA Cup encounter that happened just a few days ago, therefore missing the match against the Eagles as well.
But, it seems both could be ready to feature against Newcastle as Arteta revealed both of them are in full training and could be available for selection.
“Gabi is now back in full training and is available for selection,” a statement on the club’s official website reads.
“Kieran has recovered from his tight calf and is back in training with the squad. Kieran will be assessed and tested ahead of Monday’s match.”
However, it has since been confirmed that Pablo Mari is unavailable with a calf strain, which could mean David Luiz and Rob Holding continue to sit at the back for the Gunners.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and conceding just two, however they still remain some way off the pace in regards to qualifying for a European spot.
Indeed, a win, though, will reduce that deficit greatly and could give them a great boost heading into the final part of the Premier League season.
