The new season is still quite ambiguous for Arsenal. The latest match results with the participation of Emery’s team clearly demonstrate that the club got into a certain physical and psychological problem, which led to the fact that its position in the ranking has deteriorated.

The “Gunners” started well and in mid-October they even managed to enter the top three of the EPL, but then the situation began to deteriorate. The injuries of some leaders combined with the bad form of other performers led to the fact that the team left the League Cup, as well as several rounds in a row could not win in the matches of the championship. As a result, many teams managed to catch up with Emery’s team, but the top 4, on the contrary, broke away. However, it is precisely the main task of the Gunners for the current season, to get into the Champions League zone.

So far, the summer rookies aren’t doing their best. Despite the fact that David Luiz managed to score in the opponents’ gates, he also “brought” a lot of goals into his gate.

Nicolas Pépé also looks far from being the best, and the 80 million euros that the Arsenal gave for him in the summer look clearly overpriced. Combined with the conflict between Jackie and the fans, all this has led to the fact that the team was in a certain psychological pit.

Will the team be able to improve its match results in the second part of the season?

Despite the local difficulties and not the best match results of the recent period, nothing has been lost for Arsenal globally except the League Cup. The team’s main goal is to qualify for the Champions League, and it is quite possible but if they will fail to do so in the EPL, the team will make every effort to win the Europa League.

If we are talking about the strengths of the gunners, which should help them to increase their power, we can highlight:

  1. Individual skills of leaders.
  2. A long bench of substitute players.
  3. Well-functioning chemistry between players.

So far, the main problem of Unai Emery’s team is the lack of stability, which is why they regularly lose points in the matches with less cool teams. This season, this problem has affected many of the club’s competitors, as  Manchester United and Tottenham, but it is Arsenal that looks the most helpless in the face of outsiders and often loses points, even if the team is leading during the match.

This tendency should be urgently changed, if Emery’s team seriously expect to fight for a place in the first four of the English Premier League, where the competition is now particularly high and any mistake is not forgiven by the rivals.
