Report states Granit Xhaka has already agreed to join Jose Mourinho at AS Roma

There is no doubt that Granit Xhaka is a decisive figure at the Emirates Stadium.

One minute he can be fan-favourite, however the next minute he can be considered public enemy number one.

The Switzerland international – who will represent his country at the upcoming 2020 UEFA European Championships – has had a turbulent time in north London, however he appears to have become the player that many would have had hoped he would under Mikel Arteta’s guidance this season.

According to the data that was conducted by CIES Football Observatory, Xhaka was one of the best players in the English Premier League last season as he earned a place in the overall starting XI; something those using non gamstop casinos would have found hard to predict at Christmas.

Indeed, his figures across the season were not particularly bad, either, and he played a rather important role in helping the Gunners turn an already disappointing season into one that was better than it might have been at one point.

WhoScored’s data showed that the 28-year-old defensive midfielder had managed to be rather influential when it came down to his defensive duties over the course of the season. In his 31 Premier League appearances, Xhaka managed to make an average of 1.6 tackles per game, whilst also making 1.2 clearances and 0.8 interceptions per game.

With two assists, he was also effective in making the right ball on occasions as well, as he provided 0.5 key passes per game in the English top-flight, with 90.2% of his passes finding the intended target. Of course, his mistake against Burnley will be remembered, but these things can happen to everyone.

Nonetheless, it appears we may have seen the last of Xhaka in the Arsenal red, as it has been claimed that he is ready to join Jose Mourinho at AS Roma, as he seeks a new challenge and one with a manager that he has a huge amount of admiration for. Perhaps he can go and explore a bingo casino whilst he is in Rome if he gets the opportunity to do so.

According to Gazzetta Italia, the 28-year-old has already verbally agreed to making the switch from London to Rome and the only thing that is required to make the switch happen is for the two clubs to agree to a transfer fee. It is understood that £20 million could be enough to tempt the Gunners into selling, although his recent performances for the football club may make that price seem a little on the low side.

Some would argue that Xhaka is one of the most important players in Arteta’s side at the moment. However, it is impossible to deny that the Gunners need strengthening in midfield, as well, so any possibility of being able to receive a nice sum of money for the Swiss international may be seen too good for the Arsenal hierarchy to turn down.
