What Would the Best Arsenal’s Front Three Look Like?

We expect a change in the team’s front three after the introduction of Gabriel Jesus into the team. We can’t tell who Arteta would trust to lead his line, but there are many pointers that Gabriel Jesus would have the best chance to prove himself in a front three. Martinelli and Jesus have played together in some games while representing Brazil in various competitive games. Therefore, they can translate the partnership to Arsenal and add the flair of Bukayo Saka from the right to complete the front three. This combination would give Arsenal the chance to explore different attacking routes. 

Emile Smith Rowe – Gabriel Jesus – Bukayo Saka

This combination is pretty different from the ones we’ve mentioned previously. Emile Smith Rowe is not a natural left winger. Therefore, we don’t expect him to be stuck on the left. With this front three, the team won’t be comprehensive, and we would expect them to be more compact at the front.

Since he is more suited to the right, we would have to see Saka move down to the left or play centrally, depending on the team they are facing. In that case, the team would have some fluidity, but this won’t work against a top team. It is more suited for one of the less essential cup games. 

Gabriel Jesus – Gabriel Martinelli – Nicholas Pepe

We can’t overstate the partnership between Martinelli and Jesus. However, one partnership that we think would work well is that of Nicholas Pepe on the right, Gabriel Martinelli on the left, and Gabriel Jesus coming from the center. These three players are fantastic dribblers that have an eye for great passes.

Therefore, it would be easy for the team to break down solid defenses. Consequently, we expect them to play together if Saka is unavailable or needs rest after playing several games. In that case, we would expect Arteta to find more ways to ensure that his players get enough rest throughout the season. 

Emile Smith Rowe – Edward Nketiah – Gabriel Jesus

Finally, the combination of Smith Rowe, Nketiah, and Jesus is the last on our list. This is a more rigid front three that are more likely to do with interchanging positions because the three don’t have a permanent role on the team. They would be fun to watch, but we don’t think they can do well compared to the other partnerships. 

However, for some games, we might see these front three play together in one of the lesser critical games. In addition, it would give the players a chance to bond.
