Football scores of Arsenal before winter break

Cold and snow are not the reason to slow down the football pace. Until the break comes, the teams will continue to update their football scores and delight the audience with a real show. Football weekends are complemented by Eurocup matches on weekdays.
Arsenal London is trying to deal with problems on the go. An unlucky series of draws and defeats knocked the team out of the European competition zone. At the very beginning of the season, Emery’s team seemed to find its game, but then the whole system crashed.
In the season 2018/19, the Gunners made several interesting transfers during the winter break. Some of them were extremely successful, while others looked hasty in terms of football scores for the team’s goals for the season:
- Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He didn’t show himself in Manchester United, and Arsenal was interested in him. Henrikh was acquired as a full replacement for a number of midfielders who left the club. Many people hoped that the Armenian winger would shine brightly as part of the Gunners.
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. An attacker from Borussia D was bought for a decent 63 million. Aubameyang was well known in Germany by scoring goals consistently. The idea to get an aggressive sniper for the team was quite logical and allowed to sharpen the line of attack.
- Theo Walcott’s sale and failure to revive Alexis Sanchez’s career.
As practice shows, not all winter purchases are made in order to save the season. Some clubs with a great sense of talent buy a player for the future. At least in one of these transfers, Arsenal did the right thing.
EPL results and London falling
The matches of the English Premier League don’t cease to amaze the fans. This is probably the main highlight of this league. Where today a beggar becomes a king, and tomorrow a favorite is one step away from relegation zone.
This season, Epl results are stable only in Liverpool and Manchester City. The memes about the number 4 and Arsenal are no longer funny and don’t even annoy the Gunners’ fans. Now many of them would give half their salaries to return the club a stable place in the Champions League and a confident game over the entire Premier League distance. And, probably, none of them would hang out a banner “Wenger Out”.
Yes, the Frenchman had good times, but recent years have been marked by an era without trophies. In defense of Wenger, it is worth recalling that the management didn’t respond to all his requests to give more money. While other teams, worrying about their Epl results, were spending crazy amounts, Arsenal continued to play as it used to.
As a result, the club was headed by Unai Emery. For many coaches, the first year is decisive in the current situation. Emery with Arsenal took the 5th place in the championship, reached the final of the Europa League, but lost to Chelsea there. In summer, the club spent record 152 million euros. It seemed the team has strengthened and is ready for new heights.
The bottom line — we saw the fight for a place in the Europa League and the scandal of the team captain and the fans. Now, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has the armband, who has been in the club for too little, while the management want to sell the rebellious ex-captain in the offseason. The management should influence the situation, or the fans will made a banner”Emery Out”.
