With just 11 games of the season played thus far, we know that there is still plenty of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign left to be played.

Of course, we still have over just over two-thirds of the season left to go, although seeing Arsenal top of the league is something that we do not see all too often, especially in recent memory with a generation of fans unlikely to have ever known this to be the case.

Indeed, given the performances of the Gunners this season, there have been many that have been pondering whether this is their season. In fact, we have seen a number of people placing sports bets on the predictions that they have been making, with many opting to use betting sites that accept credit cards due to the way that they prefer to make their wagers.

Naturally, though, there will have been some that will have been left feeling a little concerned after the Gunners dropped points away to Southampton at the weekend, with some potentially questioning what the future might hold already.

As we said, there is still plenty of the Premier League season to go, with the Emirates Stadium outfit still yet to play another 27, however with Manchester City still on their tails, there might be some that will feel they are within their rights to be concerned at this moment.

Indeed, the Citizens may have dropped points themselves against Liverpool, however they have continued to bounce back, with Pep Guardiola’s side returning to winning ways after being able to brush aside Brighton and Hove Albion; Erling Haaland returning to the scoresheet with a double, too.

With Man City only just two points behind, many will feel that the two dropped points by Arsenal on Sunday will have been costly in the race at this very early stage, especially as they will need to play the current Premier League champions twice.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will not help too much this year with it being played in the winter, too, although it could depend on when the league manages to reschedule the home tie against the Sky Blues. The first game was recently postponed due to Arsenal’s requirement to play PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Europa League due to the lack of policing due to the Queen’s funeral.

With plenty of football still to be played, there is no doubt that worrying about two lost points over the weekend could be considered premature, although it is undeniable that there will be many that will be cursing it at the end of the season if it does prove costly in the end.
