Arsenal remains the sole leader of the Premier League having 27 points out of a possible 30, with nine wins from ten games, which is a point clear of the defending champions Manchester City who are attempting to become only the second club, after Manchester United, to win three successive Premier League titles. Their success this season has made getting Arsenal tickets even hard to get.

Unlike previous seasons, Arsenal started this season with a winning mindset and it has helped them so far in reaching the top, with the only dropped points so far coming in a 3-1 defeat at Manchester United in September.

Their current coach, Mikel Arteta said “When I arrived in 2019 I had only one mission: to make the players and staff believe we could, and we needed to change the mentality. We have to be ruthless and consistent to create a winning mentality.”

Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka are all good at their game and have proven to be quite intimidating this season. This can be termed as one of the reasons behind the team’s success.

The attacks have all taken their game to a new level. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have both been constant threats and are the only players under the age of 21 that have scored more than 10 goals in the Premier League since the start of last season. Between them have been eight goals this season and Saka has the second-most assists with four.

Both helped in Gunner’s last game with Liverpool, where Gabriel Martinelli scored a goal and also helped set Saka for another goal. Arteta even said “It’s a nightmare to play against Martinelli. He’s a constant threat.”

The signings of Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus, and Fabio Vieira have also added proven quality and experience to the squad. Gabriel Jesus has shown he is the striker Gunners desperately wanted and needed Alexandre Lacazette to be.

Though the 25year old has received a high number of fouls this season, he has helped with the five goals and three assists he has accumulated in his nine Premier League games this season, in which three of his goals have served to put them ahead. This also makes him the number 7 scorer in the Premier League.

The effort of Arsenal defenders cannot be overlooked with them also switching up their game this season. William Saliba who was on loan to Marseille last season has paired well with Gabriel in the central defence position providing a shield for Aaron Ramsdale who has the second-highest number of clean sheets with 4 so far this season.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’s former coach, thinks Arsenal has a very high chance of winning this year’s Premier League. “They have a good chance this season because I don’t see any super dominating team,” Wenger told Sky Sports.

He led the team to victory for the last three titles won by the North London club (1998, 2002, 2004) and he believes Mikel Arteta could take them all the way this season for the first time in 19 years.

With nine wins from ten games, they sit four points ahead of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur after winning the match against Leeds. Their victory over Liverpool makes it easy to believe that they will challenge for the title this season.
