Fans could have an interest in Champions League Final for Arsenal reasons

The Champions League final has once again come around and Arsenal fans will be able to get comfortable and watch a spectacle between two of the world’s top sides, safe in the knowledge that they have not been at the hands of a humiliating defeat.

Of course, the Gunners’ record against Bayern Munich is well documented as it appeared to happen on a near-annual basis, however this season they have been able to see some of their London neighbours suffer the same fate they have in the past.

Although it seems strange to even say that it was still this season, Tottenham Hotspur were destroyed in the capital by the Bavarians at their stadium with a 2-7 scoreline, whilst Chelsea were also beaten 7-1 across two legs in the Round of 16 stage of the tournament.

Indeed, Bayern Munich have shown no signs of letting up against any of their opponents in recent matches, having demolished Barcelona 8-2. For those that fancy wagering on the final score of the Champions League final tie, they can get the best odds of football games by searching around.

Nonetheless, the Champions League Final between the German outfit and Paris Saint-Germain will give Arsenal fans the opportunity to watch Serge Gnabry and even potentially Philippe Coutinho up close.

Indeed, everyone knows the history behind Gnabry and how he has managed to further his career to this point. Whilst it will be a headache as to ‘what could have been’ for the Germany international, fans will no doubt be cheering him on as if he was still one of their own.

It is incredible as to what he has been able to achieve over the years, considering he was considered not good enough for West Bromwich Albion by manager Tony Pulis a few years ago and is now an integral part for perhaps one of the best teams in world football.

Of course, the goals he has scored in the Champions League have risen his stock significantly, as he tore shreds out of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Barcelona and has subsequently become one of the most exciting talents in the game at 25-years-old.

However, whilst being able to look at how a former player is getting on under the bright lights, Arsenal fans could potentially have the opportunity to watch a player who has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium up close.

Coutinho has recently dismissed any speculation about his future movements, although it would seem his time at Barcelona is coming to an end as is his time at Bayern.

“My mind is fully focused on the competition,” Coutinho told Esporte Interativo (via Evening Standard).

“It’s a unique opportunity for us. I’m very happy to be in the Champions League final. On my future, I haven’t thought about it because I’m only thinking about the final.”

Nonetheless, if he is able to replicate what he did against his parent club (in which he scored twice with just 25 minutes on the pitch) and produce the form that he provided Liverpool when he was last playing in the Premier League, the Gunners could finally have someone that could provide them with the creative void their midfield clearly suffers from.

Perhaps another Brazilian will be joining them at the Emirates Stadium, following Willian to the club this summer. However, we’ll have to wait and see until after the Champions League final to see what happens next.
