Let Us Have a Closer Look at the Manchester City v Arsenal Match

The international break is coming to an end (listen to the collective sigh of relief up and down the country), and we will all turn our attention back to the Premier League. Our beloved Arsenal could not have much more of a trickier game as we head to the Etihad to take on Manchester City on Saturday evening.

How Arsenal’s Season Has Started

Arsenal have picked up nine points from their opening four games, having beaten Fulham, West Ham, and Sheffield United. The only game that we have lost was against Liverpool, but not many football fans expected us to get anything from that game anyway considering how good a side Liverpool have. However, having said that, not many football fans would have had a bet on Aston Villa to destroy Liverpool 7-2 before the international break. In fact, there are probably still plenty of football fans still wondering whether it did actually happen – no Premier League champions have ever conceded seven goals in one match the following season.

We bet there were many football betting fans who were shouting all kind of swear words at Villa that evening as they saw their accumulators go bust thanks to one result that nobody in the world, not even the most passionate Villa fan, could have predicted. If you are reading this from Ireland and you love to bet on the English Premier League, then we highly recommend that you pay a visit to betinireland. They have experts who do a lot of analyses of the best sportsbooks for those in Ireland, so you can be sure that the betting sites with betinireland will allow you to have a great football betting experience. They will have reviews for great betting sites such as 888sport and William Hill.

How Manchester City’s Season Has Started

Manchester City have picked up four points so far this season, but they have played a game less than Arsenal. They have beaten Wolves, were destroyed by Leicester, and drew with Leeds (although they really should have put the game to bed in the first half). They are currently ten places behind us in the Premier League table, but we know that this does not mean an awful lot so early on in the season. While we do not think that City will win the title this season, they will definitely be contenders.

Manchester City Could be Without Four of Their Big Guns

Manchester City could be without the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, and Gabriel Jesus for the game on Saturday. De Bruyne, one of the best players in the Premier League, asked to be subbed off during their loss to England on Sunday, and was consequently ruled out of the midweek match against Iceland. Sterling missed the whole international break with England due to a hamstring issue, and it is unlikely that he will be fit again for Sunday. Meanwhile, Jesus has not trained with City this whole week, while Aguero, who has not featured for City this season as he is recovering from knee surgery, is still some way away from a return to the field.

Arsenal Injury News

We have no new injuries to worry about as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been able to train this week despite pulling out of the Gabon squad with an ankle injury. However, Kieran Tierney might not be available to play as he has had to self-isolate after one of his Scottish teammates tested positive for COVID. As it stands, he will not be allowed to play in the game, but Arsenal have recently released a statement saying that he could still be available to play – we will just have to wait and see.

Cannot Wait to See Thomas Partey in Action

If there is one thing that most Arsenal fans will be looking forward to this weekend, it is seeing what Thomas Partey brings to the, erm, party. Yeah, we know, if you had a pound for every single time you heard a similar joke, you would be a rich man, but we just could not resist, sorry. The former Atletico Madrid man was a great addition to the squad, as he is very good on the ball, knows how to pick a pass, and knows how to put in a tackle when needed. He also likes to chip in with the odd goal every now and then. If he links up well with the likes of Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, then we are sure that we will be challenging for a Champions League spot come the end of the season.

Our Prediction for the Match

In our opinion, this all depends on whether the likes of De Bruyne and Sterling are fit enough to take to the field. If they are and City play to the levels that we all know they are capable of, then we do not see our defense being able to cope and we will probably end up losing two or three goals, which we have done out of the last seven league matches that we have played. In the last seven league games against City we have only scored 2 goals, but we believe we will get on the scoresheet this weekend.

If City happen to be missing the likes of Sterling and De Bruyne, then that gives a huge advantage to Arsenal, and we might be able to nick a 2-1 victory. One thing is for certain though, and that is that it should be a cracking game to watch.
