Arsenal is one of the most successful teams in the Premier League. This season has been an up and down battle for most parts, but the fans are sticking to the club like superglue. So, while there is no debate around what team to root for, there is when it comes to who’s the best player ever to set foot on the pitch for the Gunners.

Together with Casinostoplay.com, a website dedicated to sports betting and online gambling in the UK, we’ve come up with a shortlist of the (potential) best Arsenal players.

Dennis Bergkamp

Dennis Bergkamp is another hugely famous Arsenal player from the Netherlands who played for Arsenal between 1995 and 2006. Bergkamp played for Ajax and Inter Milan before landing at Arsenal. While there, he helped the club win numerous competitions including four FA Cups and three Premier League championships. Bergkamp also won PFA Players’ Player Of The Year and the FWA Footballer Of The Year award too, highlighting his success. Following his time at Arsenal, Bergkamp worked as an assistant at Ajax but was fired in 2017 alongside fellow assistant Hennie Spijkerman.

Tony Adams

Tony Adams is an English former footballer who played for Arsenal between 1983 and 2002. Adams played as a centre back at the club and helped the team win dozens of competitions including two Football League Cups, a UEFA Cup, three FA Cups, and plenty more. Like numerous other players, Adams went into managerial work and managed teams Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth, and Granada. He’s now included in the Football League 100 Legends table – and that’s a big deal.

Patrick Vieira

Patrick Vieira played for Arsenal between 1996 and 2005 and is considered to be one of the best players of his generation. His football career began with Cannes before he moved on to Milan and then to Arsenal where he helped the football club achieve success by winning three FA Cups and three football league championships. He eventually left the team in 2005 and moved to Juventas, then Inter Milan before settling for Manchester City in 2010. Following this, Vieira, like so many other players, turned to coaching before landing a managerial role in Europe for the Ligue 1 club Nice.

Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry is arguably one of the most famous football players ever. The former Arsenal striker is now working as the manager of Major League football club Montreal Impact. Over the course of his career, Henry has played for Monaco, Juventus, Barcelona, and more. During his career at Arsenal, Henry became a hugely successful striker and the team’s leading scorer with 228 goals in total as well as 90 assists.

Honourable Mentions

Those are just some of the best Arsenal players but there are dozens more that we just couldn’t fit into this short ranking. Some of our honourable mentions include Ian Wright, David Seaman, Emmanuel Petit, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Marc Overmars, Freddie Ljungberg, Lee Dixon, and Robert Pires.

All of this is subject to opinion, but we believe that those are the best players both past and present. With them, Arsenal experienced so much success and so we can only hope that future players bring as much excitement, prestige, and success too.
