With all of the footballing focus on the 2022 FIFA World Cup at the moment, attention on leagues such as the Premier League will have been put on the back-burner for just a little bit.

Of course, there are many at Arsenal who will have been thinking about it, though, as some were unfortunately unable to go to Qatar for a variety of different reasons, whether that be they were deemed not good enough to be selected, their nations were did not qualify, or they were injured for the period.

Nonetheless, those still at the training ground will have been putting in the hard yards and will still be looking to try and remain in peak physical condition as they look to try and return to action in the same fashion that was being experienced when the break took place.

The Gunners will experience Christmas at the top of the table, and while there will be fans that will be enjoying the festive season by playing the available football-themed casino games that can be enjoyed with this Ice casino bonus code that is possible to obtain from a top review site, there will be players at the club that will be raring to get back to action.

However, will Arsenal be able to keep the momentum going and will they be able to end the 2022/23 Premier League campaign in a way that many would have felt would have been unexpected for Mikel Arteta’s side at the start of the season: by winning the Premier League title.

Of course, this is the million-dollar question for some, however, through 14 games of the season thus far, there are many that believe this could be the year that the Gunners finally lift the trophy after last winning it back in the 2002/03 season; some two decades ago.

The team looks to be playing some of its best football at the moment under the Spanish coach, with his summer signings having played an instrumental role. While Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have slowed a little in recent times, they both have had made their presence known around the club and have used the experience that they gained at Manchester City to the Gunners’ advantage.

Moreover, some of the club’s more familiar faces have been able to produce exceptional performances, too. Granit Xhaka looks to be a completely new player this season, and is having a huge impact, while the captain’s armband does not appear to be weighing down Martin Odegaard, despite being the youngest skipper in the club’s history since Cesc Fabregas had it.

Indeed, the season arguably came to a break at its worst time for Arsenal this season, and it will certainly be interesting to see what happens.

Injuries at the 2022 FIFA World Cup could happen which could have a negative impact, while there could be potential issues that arise throughout the remaining 24 games that are left to be played, with knocks and even suspensions still possible to be obtained.

Furthermore, we could see the likes of Manchester City end up going on a run as we know that they can, especially as Pep Guardiola’s side suffered defeat in the game before the break. This will have been something that will have angered those at the Etihad, thus leaving them something to be vengeful of this winter.

There is so much that can still happen over the next few months, but Arsenal are in the best position at the moment. Whether they can maintain that, though, is something that perhaps time can only answer.
