Mikel Arteta reveals those “trying to hurt” the club are gone

Arsenal have had a poor season, especially when so many would have been expecting big things from the Gunners after winning the FA Cup last season and starting off with obtaining the FA Community Shield against Liverpool in fine fashion.
However, with the 20/21 Premier League season about to come to an end and have its curtains drawn, there will be many associated with the Emirates Stadium outfit that are angry and disappointed with what their club has done over the course of the campaign.
Admittedly, it is not a feeling that those in north London and around the world are not accustomed to, as Arsenal have continued to underperform for a number of years and look far from being the club that they ever were in the past, whilst their owners continue to infuriate things further.
However, it would seem that Mikel Arteta is continuing to work hard behind the scenes to turn his former club back into a winning bunch – which may have made them an attractive option to those who visit sportfogadas.net, as he has revealed the Gunners have had to overcome challenges posed by insiders who were “trying to hurt” the club earlier in the season.
Although he did not mention who they were, the Spanish manager said the most significant prize this season was to get rid of those who did not have the best interests of the club at heart.
“The best thing has been to keep a team, a staff, employees and everybody together,” he said, as quoted by The Guardian. “In those circumstances when you are not winning and when there are so many people, some inside and some outside, that are trying to hurt [you]. And to keep them together and block that and be so strong, I think that is some achievement. As normally when that happens [makes a cracking sound], that cracks and everything falls, and it didn’t.”
Asked whether the “some inside” were still at Arsenal, Arteta simply replied: “No.”
Although he did not mention anyone in particular, you would have to instantly look at the players that are no longer at the Emirates Stadium, with individuals such as Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolasinac having been moved on.
With the Gunners finishing their campaign at home to Brighton, they have the opportunity to finish seventh in the Premier League and enter the newly-formed European tournament, the European Conference League. However, results will need to go their way, with Everton going up against Manchester City and Spurs going up against Leicester City.
