We’re very pleased to announce the launch of our newest YAMA venture – the YouAreMyArsenal Podcast or – YAMACast.

After much deliberation and hemming and hawing, I’ve finally decided to see if I can actually put this thing together. And well, I must admit to actually being plesantly surprised. There are still some kinks to iron out but for the most part I’m quite pleased with our first effort. So without much more ado – here it is the first episode of the YAMACAST

In the inagural episode of the YAMACAST we get right into an discuss the disappointing performance by the team with Tim Clark (@Arse2Mouse) of Arse2Mouse.com and Elliot Smith (@YankeeGunner) of the Yankee Gunner Blog. We didn’t expect the mood to be so sombre for our kickoff podcast but it was good and frank discussion of the current issues facing Arsenal in the wake of their 1-0 defeat to Blackburn.

After our review of the travesty that was this weekend we turn our bloodshot eyes to Tuesday and the looming Champion’s League tie with 22 time Bundesliga Champion’s Bayern Munich. Joining us for this discussion is James Thorogood (@JMThorogood) of Bundesliga.com and the Talking Fußball podcast. And while it certainly seems dim for Arsenal, James gives Gunners a reason to like their chances this coming Tuesday.

Well, let’s have it shall we? Here it is – (the fanfare is in the podcast) – warts and all – YAMACAST!

NOTE: In the interview with Tim & Elliot we notice some feedback coming from their mics. Our apologies – as we said warts and all. And as soon as everything is sorted with iTunes we’ll update the post with the iTunes RSS feed.

Great job DAG. Keep ’em coming….

I liked both halves of the show but was struck by the (extreme) difference in the level of “hope” (my current personal theme….) on display. We’re going to be “turned over” by Bayern (said Tim, I think) in the first discussion, while breaking it down offered a bit of light at the end of the tunnel…..

Quite the moment to jump in with your first effort…. (The Johnny Cash rather sums up the current Gooner experience…..) Kudos…..

    congrats on the PodCast DAG.

no wish to pre-empt the post, but I just read an open letter to Stan K, that absolutely made my day, as it says just about everything I’d want to say, and then some… (albeit, probably with better punctuation and grammar!)

If anyone is interested… give a read.
