More Words of Wisdom from Le Professor

You Want Me to do What?
Okay, anyone who has every tracked me on other blogs knows I don’t usually have much bad to say about Arsene Wenger. Its not that I am a sycophant supporter of his but I usually give him the benefit of the doubt because I am sure there are things going on in the background that us fans can’t possibly know. That being said – one day I really wish Arsene would just be direct.
When asked about Emmanuel Adebayors possible departure to AC Milan, Arsene was his normal effusive self saying he expected to stay but if he wanted to leave he would accept it. Why even say something like this – if he is going to stay thats it. If he is going to go – accept it. Further more getting under my crawl today is the fact that Arsene said he was in for Karim Benzema but than money bags Real came along. Now he said he was in for Benzema but that hever never made an offer because he didn’t think Lyon would sell this year.
Riiiiiggghhhhhttttt!
Look I love the guy. Arsenal would not be the club it is now. But dude either be direct with us or do not say a damn thing. I would rather complain that you say nothing at all than say nothing by saying something absolutely so confusing. The absolute consternation of Arsenal fans is coming from the fact that one thing is said and another thing is done – sometimes in the span of a few minutes of each other. Take for instance, Arsene’s insistence he was going to be active in the transfer market this season – well after the signing of Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax, the promotion of 4 youth team members and Wilshere and Ramsey signing new long term contracts – we’re all waiting with baited breath to the announcement from Arsenal that says these moves prove we are active.
Riiiiggghhhhttt.
If you believe that than I have some property in New Jersey I would like to talk to you about.
Arsene be straight with us. Your years of giving us absolute joy give you some leeway in what you do. But don’t jerk us around with contradictions after contradictions. It only makes us scratch our head or worse yet flame you – and we know you don’t like that.

Agree – Arsene should not make any statement about agents, players, or teams comments in the media.
You have to admit that spending on players this summer has been ‘out of control’. In May, I’m speculating that Arsene was going to sell Ade and use those funds to buy Benzema.
If I’m sitting at the poker table and everyone is going wild in the bidding – you take a break, and wait for normalcy to return. The prices teams are paying for players has been ridiculous. Valencia $17m?
I see Arsene bringing in one more player – a MF to partner with Cesc – older and experienced.
I’ve decided to be patient and accept how the cards play out for any other changes. A healthy Eduardo and Rosicky will be needed for Arsenal. They are special players whose experience on the pitch can raise the playing level of our youngsters!
UPDATE:
It’s madenss I tell you. Sheer madness. Surely the inevitable press announcement is going to come saying that Arsenal Football club have in deed been busy with signings this summer. Except there is one problem – they are our own players.
Add Kieran Gibbs and Ryan Van Persiew to the players who have now extended their stays. RvP’s new contract is for another four years while the terms for Gibbs have yet been decided. Don’t get me wrong, I am pleased we are wrapping good young players. But shouldn’t we be getting some good – OLDER, EXPERIENCED – players?
The window “officially” opened and we’ve got nothing to account for it. Where is the holding midfielder we desperately need?
Also to further confuse the Arsenal faithful, Adebayor isn’t going anywhere but supposedly if he does Arsene thinks we’re fine with our remaining strikers – RvP, Eduardo, Bendtner, Vela and Walcott. Really? Maybe he’s not aware of Bendtner’s continual ineffeciency, or dudu’s inability in big games – he’s been great against lesser teams – a little off in matches against bigger opponents. And Theo – well let’s just say – I’d really like to see some delivery on this promise in the way of some goals.
But of course there is the conflicting report that we are interested in obtaining the services of Bordeaux’s Morrocan hitman Chamkah.
And on the ligher side – Ashley Cole – may be leaving Chelsea for Real and Viera may join Brum. Two moves that could make gooners simultaneously rejoice and cry,
